He is still eligible, right?

Based on his play so far and considering he (at the moment) has the inside track of playing in the Leafs' top 6 next season, on a line with 2 of the top 4. He also has acquitted himself in big games.

He has done well defensively so the coach will trust him late in the game and in close ones. Something that happens to a lot of rookies.

Big body drives to the front of the net with power, an area the Leafs are light on.

Not sure on his shot just yet. Seems to be NHL quality.

Has really good passing ability IMO.

Logically right now Connor Bedard if he plays next season may be the favorite but ATM Knies looks like he should be at the very least in the running next season.

I would pencil in Bedard (depending on team) for a 60-90 point season.

55-65 ff Chicago gets him (man they are horrible and dont have anyone for him to play with)
70ish is Anaheim. Terry + Zegras would be a fun pairing, but neither of them broke 70 this year.
75+ if its Columbus. Gaudreau - Bedard - Laine could be a pretty sick line, and because they cant score he would get a ton of PP1 time as well.

IF, and its a big IF everything goes right for Knies...
Somehwere between the two versions of Bunting points wise. 55ish points with 20+ goals.

If he's stapled next to Matthews and Marner for a full year + top powerplay unit time he'll be a favourite for it.

I think it is going to be Knies - Matthews - Marner, I can see him putting up over 70 points (I know it is a lot, but I also think he is better than Bunting starting next year), away from them, obviously, it is probably somewhere between 40-50.
