Rangers should not play Rempe at the NHL level until he is much better at fighting and giving momentum to the Rangers and not the opposition

Rangers need a 4th line with an identity. I have said this for a while. Playing guys with different styles of games on the 4th line is a mistake imo. Either play 3 physical guys or play 3 speed guys. Tell that line they need to be a speedy swarming line or a line that hits everything. Right now they look like a chinese chow mein dish topped with pepperoni and sprinkles. All good things individually but not as a group.

Rempe looks like a lost puppy Great Dane out there. Scared to do anything that might get called. Gets benched in the 3rd. Throws hands at weird times. If the argument is NYR play 10feet taller with him in the lineup, then maybe the argument should be get players who don't need Rempe in the lineup to play. I don't hate him but he's clearly not ready for an every game 4th line role. It's probably not fair on him that his leash is way too short to focus on just forechecking and disrupting plays, but other than showing some balls, he's not bringing much right now. Somehow he's even losing the board battles.

I'd like to see Chmelar in Rempe's place, assuming he isn't traded. Kid is a freight train and actually can play a little hockey.

Rempe needs to improve his fighting technique. Needs to work on getting inside and using his size/strength.

Fighting 101. When Xhekaj locked him out, you twist your body, throw a dominant hand uppercut into the body, tug down on Xhekaj's right arm wtih your left, raise your fist inside of his left arm, and start throwing short punches in tight. If Xhekaj releases your left with his right to either counter or try to control your right, you switch to your left. If Xhekaj ducks his head, you switch hands and jersey jab with your right while using your right arm to lock out his left and look to come from underneath with the left if you get an opportunity since Wifi won't be able to monitor your left while getting jabbed and ducking. If Xhekaj switches to his left and starts throwing, you either throw toe to toe, or you lock him out and force him to throw hooks from outside.

What you don't do is stay locked out and try to throw hooks over Xhekaj's arm while leaving the right side of your face completely exposed.

Rempe needs to ignore fighting entirely and learn how to be an actual hockey player first and then learn fighting technique after.
