idk i kinda get it. he probably should've already been suspended for the Lyabushkin hit but couldn't because no penalty was called. he needs this wake up call.

I love Rempe. He's basically the 'good faith' troll of the league that exposes hypocrisy. Public enemy number one. This whole Rempe saga and how the league handled his legislation gives me such professional wrestling vibes. Rempe should just keep smiling at everyone like he's been doing. The guy's a natural troll with a perfect professional wrestling persona.

It's good that he got 4.

What should matter to us is that he figures out how to stay on the ice and contribute instead of constantly being sent to the locker room.

4 sends that message clearly enough that the coaching staff will be forced to coach him better. If he learns from it, we have a huge asset going forward.

If he doesn't learn after this, he is a total moron who is doomed to becoming an answer to a trivia question,

I love the kid, however I thought 2 games would have been sufficient. What I don't like is the fact that Rempe played the card by himself and not for the NYR squad. He hurt the club for 4 games even if he is a fourth liner, his presence in front of the net is an important one. He needs to learn he plays for a team 1st and anything else is secondary.

No, Supplemental Discipline may be assessed to any Player regardless of whether or not the infraction was penalized by an on-ice official. This is right from the NHL. That was not a suspendable offense.

Same. Though one could say it’s not the league’s job to teach lessons, I have no problem with this. Rempe is much more valuable playing not being a sideshow.

It's not the league's job, but they did him a huge favor.

That is a great question and one that I am trying to answer. I'm not one to bring dirty laundry in public but I care about the people here and until there is a resolution, the best thing is to just stay away.
Agree. No point in arguing with the Devils/Capitals trash on the main board. They are losers.

At least I’m not taking crazy pills. It would also be good to know which moderators I should entirely avoid in threads.

Exactly. The 4 games is a win-win. Giving him 1 or 2 doesn't send the right message imo. We all want him to succeed and he will do that if he learns to play a honed game with physicality, at the right times. Right now he's running around like a lunatic desperate to stay in the lineup and I don't fault him for that. But I believe he can be an effective player on his own right, while bringing that physicality appropriately.

The elbow was dirty as hell and those have no place in the game. They are a dead weapon for causing concussions. Anyone who plays that way, Rangers or not, should have the book thrown at them.

Surprised we have so many homers tbh. 4 games is fine. I’d not be surprised if it were 3 either (5 would’ve been excessive). This is not a big deal to the Ranger if you exclude entertainment angle. Brodzinski or Edstrom coming it should make it zero impact to the strength of the lineup.
