What would your team offer for Zuccarello?

Had 67 points this season in 78 games. Paid 6M and is UFA after 23-24 season (modified NMC, 10 team no-trade list).

Wild need cap space and centers.

Zuccarello ($6MM, UFA) and Foligno ($3.1MM, UFA) to Buffalo for Mittelstadt ($2.5MM, RFA) and Olofsson (4.75MM, UFA.)

Buffalo adds a quality veteran playmaker that has shown the ability to excel with good players, providing defensive support on the wing to allow their skilled centers to play more aggressively. Also add physicality and leadership from Foligno to their depth, this would be a move to push the team forward next season, though they obviously get older.

The Wild move the best player, but shed ~$3MM in cap space while adding players that may be better fits long term. Mitts would be the main value of the return, giving a viable top 6 center option for next season. Olofsson may have his warts, but his shot and PP talent are two things that the Wild sorely lack, he might find himself a better match on the Wild.

I highly doubt that Guerin is actually looking to move him, but if they want the space to bring back both Nyquist and MarJo, I think this is one move that would help with that. Sorry Buf fans if you think the value is way off here, but I do believe that this is the kind of trade that Guerin would actually make, as I do think it benefits both teams for the next season.

Solid proposal here

I like the deal, but we're only shedding ~$1.85M in cap space, so this likely wouldn't get us both Johansson and Nyquist back.

Aren't him and Kaprizov best buds to the point where Kaprizov lives with him?

Yeah, my mental math there was a million off, I do think it’s a solid base, and there could be negotiations around retention too if needed since Buffalo has quite a bit of room available for a one year retention.

It’s close depending on if they’d be able to move Goli or not. The range of salary that Johansson could get is so wide considering he only made an average of $1.3M over the past 2 seasons.

I’ve got the team re-signing Duhaime and Shaw for $1.8M.

Kap - Mittlestadt - Olofsson
Boldy - Ek - Rossi
X - Gaudreau - Hartman
Shaw - Dewar - Duhaime

Brodin - Faber
Middleton - Spurgeon
Merrill - X

Fleury

That roster leaves you with 11.35M. Assuming Gus gets $3.35M (for ease of math), $8M to sign Nyquist, Johansson, 3RD, and an $800K 7D.

Likely couldn’t get both without another move, but I’d still make that trade.

I just don't really see an offer materializing that makes sense. He's still fundamentally a very smol player who is also quite old. He's been productive playing with Kaprizov...but other teams don't necessarily have that perfect fit that has rejuvenated his career.

Not that i don't believe he's still a real good player, but what is he actually worth to anybody else? Not much.
