McTavish for Cozens, struggle for struggle?
lol how generous of you.Colorado would probably part with Manson+ if the Ducks had any interest in a reunion
McTavishI brought that up on the Ducks board yesterday. Might be something there
McTavish
Gudas
For
Cozens
Jokiharju
?
Not sure where you were going with the inclusion of the Dmen but Jokiharju is the last thing the Ducks need
Jokiharju is a UFA.
Gudas has another year.
Basically fit, and cap.
Very doubtful Anaheim is trying to get out of Gudas contract (or create cap space for next year), they just named him captain. Jokiharju isn't a fit, the Ducks have so many puck movers they can't get them all in the lineup right now. They acquired Trouba to replace Fowler in order to balance that out. If they move a D, it's because they have 8 NHL D + Luneau and don't need one in return.
the problem is he hasn't shown he's a solid young piece. now that could just be because the coach is an absolute moron who's dragging down the entire team with his terrible system or mctavish just isn't the guy we think he is.Seems genuinely insane for the Ducks to trade one of the few solid young pieces they've started putting in place. Unless the idea is to just be...really bad...forever. But who knows...
In a vacuum that might be fair, but Cozens has that insane long-term contract that detracts from his value, I would think.McTavish for Cozens, struggle for struggle?
Verbeek sucks, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him trade players instead of firing the horrible coaches he's employedSo I'm taking a break and reading ESPN on the NHL (yes, yes, I know), specifically this article:
And in their list of "elite pending free agents" they're sugesting as up for trade, they include... Mason McTavish?NHL trade tiers Big Board: Kreider, Rossi, Provorov among players generating buzz
While the trade deadline isn't until March 7, significant trades have already happened. Here are 68 players who could join a new team.www.espn.com
I dunno if I'm looking at wild-ass speculation or if there's actually legitimately something there. In any case, what would the Ducks be looking for? (I imagine it'd be a heck of a lot since it seems more than a little early to give up on him, but if there's Something Else going on...)
Mctavish HAS shown he can be a core piece but under Cronin he has not gone in the right direction. As have a number of guysthe problem is he hasn't shown he's a solid young piece. now that could just be because the coach is an absolute moron who's dragging down the entire team with his terrible system or mctavish just isn't the guy we think he is.

LOL nopeYeah, but BUF could always throw in a Dahlin or two to sweeten the deal.
Then you get Henri Jokiharju for free. What if I say "please?"
Then you get Henri Jokiharju for free.
Not saying they want to get out of the Gudas contract, I think he adds value to the Sabres in this trade.
Figured being a UFA that Jokiharju would be moved, demoted, placed on waivers.
Funny cause just a few weeks ago there was an article on Ducks trying to get McT to play more like BT7. More more aggressive, use his body more, drive the net…I’m assuming.
Too many young players are stagnating offensively. They need to look at a coaching change before trading these guys.
During Cronin’s time in Loveland, it was a theme on the Avs board that forwards go there to die. The counter to that was always that the Avs are bad at drafting outside of the top 10, so Cronin would get a pass.
