Value of: Martin Necas to Ottawa

Zetterlund - Stutzle - Necas would be a very good line for Ottawa. Does Batherson so go back to other way to reunite with Mackinnon? What would it take?

I have no idea if Nelson is expected to re-up or not but something around Cozens + Batherson for Necas + Colton with picks on either side as needed doesn’t seem outlandish.

Bringing up Tkachuk or Sanderson is insane and personally I wouldn’t move Pinto and I don’t think Sens management would either.

Additionally, I think Batherson’s value is a lot closer to Lehkonen than Necas and I don’t see Cozens as a huge value piece given his 40-50 points per season over the last two seasons with a $7.1m cap hit that bridges that gap.

If you wanted something around Lehkonen and Batherson I think it makes sense.

Lehkonen's career high is 51 points. Batherson scored 68 pts this year good for 2nd on our team while not even playing with Stutzle who had the most points. Ottawa is a relatively low scoring team with distributed offence. Batherson has wayyy more value. Imagine Batherson on Mackinnon's wing? 90 point season would not surprise me.

I’m not saying an offend starved Ottawa should even consider it…but your kind of missing the point with Lehkonen if all your doing is a counting stats comp. I’d say you should couch your “wayyy more value” comment with an addendum of “to Ottawa”.
