Granted he didn’t have much value at the start of the season, he did put together a reasonable string of games for Toronto while filling in for Woll and Samsonov. Would anyone take a flyer on him for a late round pick as a veteran backup? With Woll coming back and Samsonov finding his game I have to imagine the Leafs find him expendable or someone would grab him on waivers if they don’t deal him.

Might have value as you say as a veteran backup but I can't see a team giving anything of significance for him. 6th/7th round pick type of thing

Let's pump the brakes on this one. NHL vet signed to a cheap deal on a team that's cap strapped and unsure if they have any healthy and capable NHL goalies?

Samsonov's performance and Woll's health are both as solid as a wet paper bag.

Trading Jones away right now would be about as dumb as going into the season with two rejects from teams worse than you... oh right that was the last management group.

Probably returns a 5th round pick or something with games played conditions, might be worthwhile to just keep him as depth
