Parayko is great and all...but i pass as a Leafs fan. If we are going to shoot for a D upgrade...just do JVR for Fowler....don't trade the blue chip kids.

Leafs have depth at forward, but not nearly enough to move that much riches for a Dman.
Both Mitch and Willy have huge roles set out for them on this team in the future - we are better off scouting/drafting/developing and hoping to find our own Parayko.

The guys a stud, but we aren't gutting what we've built. Our plan is still in process, nothing rash is needed just yet.
 
Hahahahaha, I would do this as a blues fan and I am super high on Parayko. I think that means it'll never happen =(.
 
No chance the Leafs would do that. I'd do it as a Blues fan though. Love me Parayko, and I think he's going to get even better, but adding two blue chip forward prospect would help us out immensely.

You are implying the Ducks would trade Fowler for JVR. Plus Fowler isn't an RD. This trade is made to provide a solid partner for MoRielly. I'm tired of seeing him paired with Hunwick... a depth defender at best on a contender.
 
This is objectively garbage. Not even close OP. Nylander or Marner is worth Parayko straight up. Nylander and Marner are both >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Musil
 
At first thought, no, but after second thought I would strongly consider it.

Forwards are easier to add than d-men like Parayko and there's still a chance that one, or both of Toronto's don't live up to expectations. Obviously if they both turn out to be 70+ point forwards then it's a steal for the Blues but if one is a ~70 point forward and the other ~50 then it would make sense to add a d-man like Parayko.

We aren't a Parayko away.
Patience with this process will yield great rewards. Colton was drafted in the 3rd round, we need to have confidence in our scouting; hope to find our own gems. We are currently in Stage 2 of the build.

Stage 1: Strip down. (Phaneuf/Kessel)
Stage 2: Draft smart, Filter in the youth, Develop properly, insulate.
Stage 3: Assess what you have, trade/sign accordingly.
Stage 4: Begin upward movement.
 
OP trying to break some Guinness World Record for bad proposals in a week. At least stop making transparent clickbait proposals.

i'd consider a deal based around 1 of Nylander/Maner for Parayko. There is no way id be willing to give up both at any time over the next 5 years. At least one of these guys needs to be a core piece of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
 
So, this guy proposes Marner & 2nd for Parayko a few days ago. Now he suggests Marner & Nylander for Parayko and a mid range prospect. Seriously, Musil is worth a 3rd round pick at most, and I like him. The logic and valuation is missing again.
 
Leafs went BPA with Nylander and Marner as any rebuilding team should.

Now if they wanted a potential stud defensemen they could have taken Pro or Hanifin and still kept Nylander.

No way the Leafs trade Marner and Nylander for Parayko and Musil. Leafs are still rebuilding; the defensemen can still get here as soon as 2017 in the draft.

STL might get one of those guys for Parayko, but there's no chance they'd get both - not unless they're adding something significant that Toronto would actually value.
