Prospect Info: Marlies/Prospects Thread - 2023-23 Season Edition

I don't hate the idea of getting him some games back down there. He has had a little bit of a rough stretch since coming back from the Leafs, and the Marlies do have Kallgren/Woll plus Ferguson as the 3rd goalie in case of emergency.

McKay

McKay and Ferguson have not been all that great at their respective levels and are not really factors in our goaltending depth chart in the long term, so getting them ice time is not a priority like it would be if Petruzzelli were still with the Marlies.

Ferguson is still there?? I thought his PTO would have expired by now..!
 
Anyone know why Woll, missed like 12 days between starts, after playing 3 games in a row? He played on Dec 4th then tonight. Maybe small injury, can't seem to find any news about it though?

I think they’ll keep Dubas. But Joyce’s termination for me is long over due. The Foligno trade signalled a near end because I don’t think the organization can turn a blind eye to that deadline. Just some misses from our pro scouting staff. I wonder who takes over

Joyce became the director of pro scouting several months after the Foligno trade

But he was Director of Hockey Strategy, so he was likely heavily involved in that move either way.

I do not think he was really a problem, but I have a feeling he wanted to go back to the States and the Leafs were probably indifferent about keeping him.

to be honest I don't really know what the Director of Hockey Strategy actually does, but I don't think it's fair to blame him for the Foligno trade. I'd say that was mostly on Dubas and Bodie. Joyce may have even argued against it for all we know.

In any case, I think the Leafs have done pretty well with him but nothing incredible.

Kallgren is not making a good case for him to be brought back next year.

Only thing in his favour right now is waiver exemption for one more year.

Wow lisowsky has similar production to connor roulette, the #1 center on the team. I would like to see lisowsky play on the same line as him.
