Not necessarily as teams can move up or down. Packaging a player and late first to move down isn’t the out of the question
What prospect gets Leafs into the top 10 of the draft?
Maybe Akhtyamov and Cowan?

Maybe. Anything can happen. Even someone like Woll if they feel their prospects are legit. What prospect gets Leafs into the top 10 of the draft?

They need to review history........cough( Pogge and Rask) coughThis thread: “We’ve never had goalie depth like this, it’s refreshing”

Well, looks like we have scouts who can find goalies now, especially overseas, so why not try and upgrade the team or the prospect pool with a team who needs a legit goalie prospect and get a C which we lack in our system. I don't think we should rush it but if Seattle comes to us and offers Wright for Hildeby or AA do we say no? Colorado might be a better example and Ritchie is their best C prospect and I know a lot of people really like Colton so what if they offered 1 of them. This thread: “We’ve never had goalie depth like this, it’s refreshing”

He got Nashville a pretty good goalie prospect in return, a pretty good C prospect who was just picked in the 1st round and another 1st round pick. Hildeby and Askarov have very similar numbers in the AHL but Askarov probably gets more just because he was a 1st round pick. Finding good goalies is hard and a lot of good teams get brought down by bad goaltending so I'm sure a few wouldn't mind taking a chance on a legit goalie prospect for a C prospect. Will it happen? I doubt it. I could see a team going after Murray though for the short term and give up a mid round pick which wouldn't be too bad.Goalies hold 0 value when NHL proven, nevermind as prospects. Askarov the #1G prospect since Vasi returned less than you’re suggesting.
I would hold onto Holmberg a little longer, he’s definitely elevated his game these past couple weeks. Robertson however I’m pretty much done with him, I hope he gets traded when we start getting some bodies back into the lineup. Rather have Grebenkin in the lineup over Robertson. We have a late 2nd, it's a good draft...but I wouldn't mind turning Robertson and Holmberg into some extra picks at some point to give Leach a chance to find us some gems.
And tonight Peksa gets a shutout in Cincinnati. This thread: “We’ve never had goalie depth like this, it’s refreshing”

Same here. Although Grebenkin is still honing his craft, you can see that he makes space for others with his physical play. Always useful. He also has enough offensive chops to keep up with others. I guess the question is whether he's ready, defensively, for a bigger role.I would hold onto Holmberg a little longer, he’s definitely elevated his game these past couple weeks. Yes, you turn down that offer. Wright isn't going to turn into a player. He doesn't seem to be showing as an NHL Player. I'd definitely say no.Well, looks like we have scouts who can find goalies now, especially overseas, so why not try and upgrade the team or the prospect pool with a team who needs a legit goalie prospect and get a C which we lack in our system. The thing is, they're just prospects. They may not even turn out. Better to hold on for now and continue developing. He got Nashville a pretty good goalie prospect in return, a pretty good C prospect who was just picked in the 1st round and another 1st round pick. Shane Wright is not doing much on a team without a lot of scoring options. I get that he's young but he's also overrated and shown to be immature, in staring down the Habs at the draft and again complaining when he was sent to the AHL.OMG
If any GM turned down a Wright for Hilldeby trade they would be fired on the spot.
More like Hildabeast and a 1st+ more
we will disagree on this one....lets check back in 3 yearsShane Wright is not doing much on a team without a lot of scoring options. I get that he's young but he's also overrated and shown to be immature, in staring down the Habs at the draft and again complaining when he was sent to the AHL.
Not saying I wouldn't trade Hildeby for him, as he's a RH center and we could use that in the pipeline, but adding a 1st or anything more than say Nick Robertson would not be a good deal

Funny enough, Robertson had 57 points, in 60 games in the AHL. Wright has 53 points, in 67 games. 0.95 to 0.76...Wright is only 20.
You both could be right, as you say check back in 3 years.
Wright obviously, was overrated, should have stayed in junior. Bending over backwards to get him into the pros before he earned it did him no favors.
As mentioned only 20, 21 in January and this probably should have been his 1st. year attempting the NHL. Did fine in AHL. Kind of like Leafs 2nd. rounder, Robertson, who is good in the AHL, not so much in NHL.
It would be hard to say no to a 4th. overall center. But easy to say no to the 5th. overall in 2019.
