Marion Gaborik retires

Always was a huge fan of Gabo even when he was with the wild. Love his speed and great shot. He was a huge part of our cup run in 2014. Happy retirement big guy.

One of my favorite of his generation, was hoping we would get him in Free Agency but was happy when we traded for him. Enjoy retirement Gabbo!

It's not the best game I've ever been to since I was in Staples for all of the playoff wins from 2012 - '14 so the Cup winning games are automatically the best, but hot damn if Games 1 and 7 in Anaheim aren't way up there. Probably make it in to the Top 5.

Game 7 in Anaheim got to the point where I almost felt bad for the Ducks fans since it was such an ass-kicking in Teemu's last game but, man, I was on fire after Game 1. To win the first ever playoff game between the two teams in that fashion was highly satisfying. Have Gaborik to thank for that and for the 2014 Cup since it doesn't happen without him.

Just a great run he had from acquisition through the entire 2015 season. You usually have to play for a team for a long time to be called a legend but, dude, the 2014 run alone kind of puts him in to that status.

Gaborik could've easily won the Con Smythe in 2014. Clutch goal after clutch goal, the kind of spark that team needed during that stretch. And that's just his time with the Kings, he was an absolute threat anywhere in the offensive zone with the Wild and Rangers. He'd probably be more highly regarded if he wasn't on those Wild teams in the early 2000s

One of the few players who I thought "wouldn't it be nice to have that guy on the team" who actually did end up here with something left in the gas tank. One of the best trade deadline moves ever. When's his Legends night?

Felt the same way, upper section was at least half Kings fan. Poor Ducks fans getting owned 5 goals in a row before Perry put one on board.
