"Sylvegård is one flashy player, who stands out with his great speed and physical play. Owns a terrific shot. Aren't afraid to show emotions on the ice. Lacks a bit of routine to control himself whenever the game heats up a bit."
According to Elite Prospects

Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be a second Andre Heim and can provide some secondary scoring for us.

Interesting, this would be his first year in North America, I'd assume he's projected to start in the AHL and could be a mid season call up if he does well there?

I wonder if this is Steen's influence? He's a .8 ppg in SHL, so has some scoring touch but I don't expect him to go off. Scouting reports say he is tough on the boards which is good. He's only 24 so still a little room to grow. It's a nice buy-low deal to give some competition for our youngsters in camp.

Yea he seems to have a scoring touch and is young enough. Reports say he is strong on pucks/hounds them, but I've seen other people say his skating is lackluster. If he can provide equal production as Kapanen, then that's a major win, though I don't know if he sniffs the roster or not. He definitely has the path to do it.

I got high hopes for this guy. He could turn out to be a blue chip NHL player. Team needs this kind of scouting. I got faith in Steen's eye for Euro talent. He values the complete player.

Last time Steen vouched for a guy in Sweden, we ended up with Joakim Lindstrom. Granted that was 4 years before Steen won the cup, so he could've learned new things but the point still stands lmao

Well, if true, that was Steen the player probably doing a solid for a friend. Lidstrom was soft as tissue. If you notice the Euro guys Steen has drafted or signed as FA, these guys are all willing to get dirty and win battles. Steen was that kind of player and there's no doubt in my mind those are the kind of players he wants to bring here as a GM building a club.

At this point in his career, I'd 100% agree with you. I think it's a goofy thing to bring up and remember, but I've seen how most of the players and kids we drafted play. Even if Lindstrom scored a lot, I think the Swedish game (or at least the game the players are playing) is a lot different than what it used to be.
