Marcus Sörensen returns to Sweden after a few years in the NHL.
4 year deal worth 12 million SEK.
Thoughts about this?

Liked him with the Sharks. Not a lot of production, good depth player, good work ethics. He probably wanted to go back to Sweden? I'd be surprise if SJ had no interest in bringing him back.
Easy decision for him, he's getting 3M per in Sweden, and he definitely wouldn't get that here.
He said no to at least one NHL team and league minimum in NHL is more than 3 mill SEK.Easy decision for him, he's getting 3M per in Sweden, and he definitely wouldn't get that here.
I recall he put up some decent numbers for a bottom-6 in his 2nd season with the Sharks. Perhaps his choice was being a bottom-6er in the NHL for a few more years, or a top line in his home country?
Hint: he was part of the reason they were bad as well.He was fed up with playing bottom 6-roles in the NHL and wanted to play a more important role. He also wanted to move away from the Sharks because of how bad they've been in the last few years. He's got an out-clause every single year during the 4-year contract and will probably exercise it if things don't work out. He also built a new house in Sweden recently.

Think he will be back in the NHL at some point? The out-clause suggests so, and I'll anticipate it's limited to NHL. I think his age is going to be a factor if he doesn't hurry up.
