He was quite good in his first 10 years as a Ranger. Over 1100 games played from him, I didn't realize he's been in the league for that long.

Only five Rangers have played more games than him. Ratelle not, Lundqvist not, Bathgate or Messier not, didn't necessarily perceive him that way.

I have a soft spot for him. He was part of some really good Rangers teams before injuries took a very heavy toll on him. I'll always look back fondly on his time on the team.

He was a huge part of the last decade of Rangers hockey.

I watched him in Sudbury and thought he was destined for a cup some day. He came close a few times!

Appreciated him in Detroit. He lost a lot to the injury and still found a way to have a long career. It is hard to play that long in the league no matter how many shots are taken by some in this thread. I hope he enjoys retirement. Good hockey player and a good teammate by almost all accounts.

Too bad he didn’t also sign a ceremonial one day final contract with the Canes so Dundon could dunk on everyone like “WE HAD ALL 4 STAALS AAAAAA”
