I think if they like Brazeau and didn't like Khusnutdinov anymore, that's fine. I also think and the 6th for Brazeau would have been fine. I don't get including Lauko as well. I know he hasn't exactly been great but he was really promising before his injury.

Biggest thing I keep coming back to is that we have no speed on this roster, and we just traded two fast players for another guy with negative speed. We're going to be the slowest and least skilled team in the playoffs.

Brazeau seems like a guy you pick up on a waiver claim.

You remember that Martin Skoula trade. Those damn pesky 2nd round picks again!

Weird. Skoula actually was a decent top four guy that Lemaire really liked, played multiple years in the NHL before joining Minnesota and was traded with a former first round pick named Shawn Belle...

To be fair, guys we gave multi year NMCs to are being our played by our latest waiver pickup
Was hoping khuz was going to turn into something but to put things into perspective both guys were getting outplayed by our latest waiver pickup.

The speed angle is a big concern, not sure we can afford to be any slower as a team.

Giving up on a 22-year old prospect for a pending UFA is a terrible trade. Khus wasn’t ever given a single chance on this team in an offensive role.
He’s had 30 shots on goal this year. But yes, it’s too bad he didn’t get an offensive role on this team.

I think Boeser is on roster tomorrow. Just too odd of a 2 for 1 with such low level players.

Vancouver being "underwhelmed" with offers is a tell.
I’d love to see a Rossi for Boeser trade only to see the meltdowns on here.

Yeah, his f***ing 7 pts really screams “I should be playing higher in the lineup”

He actually was given opportunities in the top 6, but didn't do anything with them. I still liked him, and think that there is more offense to be mined with him as a young player, and he is already a decent defender. I have heard that Brazeau is big, slow, and not physical for all that he is huge.

I don't like this deal at all. Lauko was ok for us, but was hurt a lot, but Marat is a rookie who had plenty of room to grow. Brazeau is a finished item at 27 yo.

Seems like a sideways move at best, a downgrade at worst.

We should’ve given up on Ek after his first 3 seasons since he only put up 37 points in 148 games.

What f***ing opportunities did Khus get? I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen you criticize a single move Guerin has made.

I'm not doing backflips about it, but it's also not like he's in line for more chances with Rossi (for now), Eriksson Ek and Yurov (next year) on roster either.
He could’ve played on the wing. We’re going to regret this trade significantly in a few years, I’ll bet money on that.

Ek was down in the lineup behind 2 old guys. There was a pretty clear path to him being at least the 2nd line center in pretty short order.

Khusnuts does not have that same path, unless they trade Rossi or move Yurov to wing, both being varying levels of controversial.

How many moves of Guerin’s have I praised? I’ll give you a hint, it’s the same amount that I’ve criticized; 0. There’s no use praising or criticizing.

Why should Khus get more opportunities? Please provide some sort of statistics that state he SHOULD get more chances.
The points he’s put up? No.
He’s good on the dot? No.
His Corsi? No.

I just do see anything that says he should get more opportunities.
