Can't feel sorry to Mrazek for the opportunity that he had recently. Kallgren stepped in and performed well to get his first shutout in his first NHL game. We need a goalie who can stop the puck and he did the job.

It's just business. Mrazek has had his opportunities. That should be the mindset. Whoever gets us a win, goes win

Was at the game tonight and kept my focus on Kallgren. Guy was locked in all game, the simple little plays like shoveling lose pucks and rebounds to the side of the net/ice instead of juicy rebounds right to the slot (opposite of mrazek and Campbell). That alone will ease pressure off the D and make them look better too.

One game but well deserved fist star for the kid.

It is nice to see a team work hard for a goalie debut.

probably will drag their asses for the rest of his career but that’s another story for another day

Good response game, congrats to the kid.

Let him roll and only play Mrazek on the back to backs. If he falters then sit him in the press box and bring up Woll if healthy.

Like Ferraro said sometime through the game, it wasn't always pretty for Kallgren, but he kept them all out tonight. I thought he played well, couple shaky rebounds, but he recovered well. Most importantly he stopped everything he was supposed to, and then some. Something this team hasn't really got for around a month or so.

GG

Just takes a 1-game winning streak and everyone is happy! Good to see the mood is better for a while!

Did anyone else play well or just the goalie?
Everybody looked pretty good. Tavares seemed to click with Marner and Bunting. Nylander took a few shifts off as usual but he looked better without Tavares. Even Clifford looked like a borderline NHLer. No major giveaways from Liljegren or Holl. Lyubushkin looked pretty good with Rielly. Allowed Rielly to jump up in the play a little more.

Great win and so happy for Kallgren of course. We must be careful going forward with him though. It's a very fragile time in his career. It's the big chance that he's been waiting for and I hope that he runs with it.
