Amazing how some calm play in net and a few decent saves settles the entire team right the f*** down.

Great win against a legit good team.

I'd say the Stars are more average than good, but this is how the Leafs are supposed to play against average teams. You're right about having competent goaltending settling everything down.

The real test will be Carolina. Hope the boys play the same quality team defense against a much more potent offense.

I watched a leaf goalie get a shutout without knowing his first name. That's a first.

He looked like Campbell early in the season for much of the game. Eating pucks and remaining quiet.

A spectacular showing and well earned shutout.

Wow what a game. Kallgren was really good but the team played fantastic in front of him. Amazing what happens with comptent goaltending.

Feels so weird watching a third period where Toronto doesn't give the opposition much of anything in terms of good looks. Dallas had some shots, but most of them weren't that dangerous. With that said, it's nice to see a goaltender that actually could make some routine saves, not look shaky and let in 1-2 soft goals like Mrazek and Campbell have been doing for months.

Congrats are in order to Källgren for a stupdendous shutout. He was good in relief the other night as well.

He definitely earned the next start. I don't want to hear the, "Give Mrazek a chance to break out of his funk" BS either. He's had all season and has been trash all season. Mrazek isn't in a funk, he's been horrible all season.

.884% and 3.48 GAA in 17 games for Mrazek. Even an ECHL goaltender could give better numbers than that. It's inexcusable on Mrazek's part for not being prepared and not really trying.

The Leafs played a solid game, finally had a third period where they protected the lead very well.

An ECHL goalie did better than that today. I mean those are waiver worthy numbers. 3.48 GAA

Average in the standings (after a very slow start) but very strong underlying numbers.

This is what it is supposed to look like. Despite the number of shots agaist, almost all were contested... hardly any open space for the opponent. So the defensive effort was there from the skaters... and would you look at that, the offence wasn't compromised!!

Thought everyone played well. What a difference a goaltender who stops the puck can make!!
