I was hate watching the game to start b/c just pissed off with team and NHL and Matthews situation.

But damn, that was an excellent performance.

Tough part of the season with the trade deadline looming, the team losing, not being able to get a damn save, just lost a spectacle game to Buffalo, best player and league MVP suspended, a goaltender literally playing his first game in the league.

Contrast this with how they folded with Kaskisuo in net. Maybe signs of improvement.

I watched a leaf goalie get a shutout without knowing his first name. That's a first.

Full effort on both ends of the ice. Funny how a team does that when their sniper is out and a rookie starts in net.

Tavares was money, Mik was flying, Clifford.was playing heavy hockey and bringing what I believe he can. As a team, they committed to defense and the forwards were doing their part.

My fave score in hockey is 3-0 as it is hard fought to the end as both teams feel they have hope. Leafs did that plus an empty netter. Works for me.

Awesome stuff for the kid. I didnt watch the entire game...but Im glad the boys were playing Defense for once. Glad we didnt let our rookie goaltender down either that's awesome.

Good to see some pretty solid goaltending for the Leafs after not seeing it for a few months now.

Leafs played well in front of Kallgren and limited the A+ chances against him and Erik made the stops when called upon. Leafs aren't perfect, but when you have a goalie that can make saves it solves and/or covers up alot of problems.

They're confidence in those in net is shot for sure.

Erik wasn’t just average today

Erik was superb

However this game should’ve been won even with average, but just should’ve been 4-2

Shots were inflated imo Dallas took insane amount of point shots thinking they were shooting against some guy

Some guy = Mzarek. They were hoping for that kind of goaltending performance

Feels so weird watching a third period where Toronto doesn't give the opposition much of anything in terms of good looks. Dallas had some shots, but most of them weren't that dangerous. With that said, it's nice to see a goaltender that actually could make some routine saves, not look shaky and let in 1-2 soft goals like Mrazek and Campbell have been doing for months.

Congrats are in order to Källgren for a stupdendous shutout. He was good in relief the other night as well.

He definitely earned the next start. I don't want to hear the, "Give Mrazek a chance to break out of his funk" BS either. He's had all season and has been trash all season. Mrazek isn't in a funk, he's been horrible all season.

.884% and 3.48 GAA in 17 games for Mrazek. Even an ECHL goaltender could give better numbers than that. It's inexcusable on Mrazek's part for not being prepared and not really trying.

The Leafs played a solid game, finally had a third period where they protected the lead very well.
