Some people dont like people with personality or style, or literally anything different. Probably would insist everyone had military-style buzz cuts if he had his way.

the one glove fit all solution doesn't apply everywhere which is a fair statement; but when treatment of people is concerned; calling out one individual again and again piles up eventually

accountability is based on result -> you cannot keep on calling out one individual when they don't perform and not call out others.

If what you are saying applies then why the hell were people making a big deal out of babcock making marner write names of lazy people on a piece of paper? what if that is whaat motivated him?

you see dumb is dumb; wrong is wrong; managing different people differently is one thing; badmouthing or calling out one individual again and again leads to mental stress eventually. you can chose to ignore or disagree but its a proven psychological fact. no individual likes to be criticized repeatedly for the same action where others are not

It clearly works for Nylander. We have absolutely no clue what happens in the locker room but Nylander is having objectively the best season of his career this season under Keefe with a bit of tough love. He will be okay.

he has 13 points in the last 12 games. his last 3 games has not been good i.e. pointless; but he has been yo-yo'd in the line up quite a bit too and his TOI has been of avg 3rd liner

Theres an article about Tavares needing to spend more time in the offensive zone that came out ~3 hrs ago, some Keefe comments about Mitch being injected to help then a bunch of Tavares comments about his focus and how he needs to move his feet, do more in the middle of the ice and make quick plays.

Keefe's comments on Nylander were about perimeter play, pace and attacking.

Telling a player that he should handle the puck more and challenge defenders isnt exactly shitting on them.
