I'm assuming Nylander is the only one out of the big 4 who responds well to this, because otherwise it's crazy how much he gets called out compared to the other stars

He definitely hasn't been as good as he should be, though. We need him to return to the level he was at before the TDL

It has never been tried on the others so we will never know how they would respond. I said it in the Nylander thread , i would put him left of Matthews. Tell him to perform to get to stay. Not on a third line. "oh i see your confindence are down, here let me make it worse" .

He got to get the shooting going. Shots less then Marner wich he never should. Marner is both the best sniper and the passer on this team the last ten games. We need Nylander to be the second best sniper again(and Matthews to be the best). But he needs help not demotion.

Just a pre-emptive strike on the doomers - here are Engvall's PO stats over the last 3 years...0 goals in 17 GP. He played 223 minutes of playoff hockey and didn't score a single goal.

Indeed. IMHO, this is a very important game tonight. NYI is a good team, and the type of team we've had trouble with in the past. Also the return of JT to the Island was the most pathetic game we've played with this core so yeah, huge game to start this last stretch of the season. Play well and win tonight would make me feel like we'll hold on the home edge against TB, maybe we're almost ready to play playoff hockey and I'll be pretty happy. Play like crap and lose on the other hand, boy oh boy with all those road game coming up and the TB game a few weeks from now looming large would not make me feel comfortable at all.

2021 playoffs - those 0 goals and 4 assists in 7 playoff games were disappointing for a 11 million dollar player to say the least.

Marner's been fantastic ever since but LOL at this dinosaur nonsense.

I don't think anyone is unsarcastically missing Engvall (if they are, my question to them is: "WHY?!").

He is about as useless as it gets when they games get harder and harder to play in. Big body teddy bear who skates with no purpose.

I am able to ignore him just fine.
