The only interest in this game for me would be for home ice advantage. I normally watch every Leafs game cause that's just how I do it. Since it's against Philly without Matthews, it's going to be a snoozefest like the game against the Islanders was.
I'm not really sure I am buying into this whole minor injury bit with Matthews. If it was nothing, they'd have him in the line-up to give him a chance to help win home ice advantage. It's not even about his individualistic goals, but team goals.
Then again, it's Philly, this should be a no-brainer low effort win.
I hope I'm wrong about the severity of Matthews' injury. I've just heard this song and dance before with him and minor injury turned into miss 3-4 weeks straight.
