2. Establish the LW/Carter/Richards line as L.A.'s red line. When Richards temporarily held the Alternate Captain position while Matt Greene was injured, he held it well. Besides, the best thing about this red line is chemistry, chemistry, chemistry.

3. Do call-ups en masse; that way, pre-existing chemistry from Manchester carries onto L.A.

4. Personal bias: I'd like to bring back Simon Gagne; man can still play.
