It was a long term play but hear me out. Back when they introduced the salary cap years ago they intentionally didn't consider taxes because they knew one day the best player in the league would play a team from a low tax state with three fans in the finals, and they don't want said play to ever win and reach the status of Crosby/Ovi.

They have some problems they have to address. They have to focus hard on keeping a lead if they get it. They need more from Barkov, he's just got to play better.
They have to know Edmonton is not going to give them a chance to day dream or whatever they have doing, during the game. Don't fall for the "lull" in the game. The "lull" in the game is actually Edmonton still playing hard while managing to lull the Panthers to sleep.

The series has been close except 1 blowout. Florida has generally been the better team so I think you can be reasonably confident
