This guy is a friggen animal.

It's crazy how fast he moves with the puck on his stick. He scares the hell out of you when he's attacking (if you're cheering for the opposition). I wish Matthews looked half as dangerous as he can when he's attacking with the puck.

It's another great season for the reigning Hart Trophy winner. He seems to get better with age.

MacKinnon and McDavid are both lightning fast with the puck but in a different way. McDavid is cerebral and slick while maintaining explosiveness, while MacKinnon is...I guess you could say he's violent and aggressive on the puck in a way. He attacks in a raw, primal, animalistic way. He doesn't have McDavid's IQ so he just goes balls deep all the time. I dig it.

It will be interesting to see if he can win the scoring race this time. He had 109 points through 64 games last season and a 4 point lead on Kucherov who played 2 fewer games at the time.

Right now, he’s up 5 on Draisaitl, who has half a game to play tonight, and a game in hand.

Either way, he’s white hot again, with 13 points in his past 5 and 20 over his last 9.

He's really putting up a fight with McDavid for best in the world at this rate! Very impressive!

With Draisaitl, Kucherov, and Mack winning trophies over McDavid, I guess it goes to show no one is quite Gretzky or Lemieux. Not Crosby, not McDavid.

Yes, yes. I know no one keeps up for his career. Just saying... And Mack is still a great playoffs scorer too despite McDavid's unreal performance last year. That's one of the reasons I am saying no one is quite on the GOAT level of Gretz or Super Mario. Flashes of similar performance, but not consistently so.

And MacKinnon is doing this with a 2nd line winger in Necas and a top 9 forward in Lehkonen. MacKinnon makes Lehkonen look like a top line winger.
