The Devils have been mediocre after an impressive start to the season. Between injuries and the drop off, it's hard to see them going far. Maybe they win Game 3 or Game 4 at home, but that's it.

Furthermore, the Hurricanes have given the Devils trouble at times this season. Plus, they're playing better overall.

Canes in 5.

Well, with Jack and Siegs out, it makes thing so much harder for NJ

Hamilton could be back but according to last update, Siegs is just starting to walk so I don't expect him to be back even if the team smh manage to go far, which is a shame because a healthy Siegs is a hell of a rock out there

Carolina are the obvious favorite here, but who knows what can happen

Each team when 2-2-0 this season... furthermore the Canes are 5-5-0 in their last 10 and have lost 3 in a row... the Devils are 5-4-1 and lost 1 after a 3 game win streak.. really neither team is playing particularly well

As a biased Devils fan, I feel the team had been playing well the last few weeks, minus the Boston clunker.

Will be interesting series, I think some surprises out there.

If Markstrom holds his side of the game.

I think the Canes will take this series in 6 games. The Canes have a great home record, but a losing record on the road, so I think Jersey will take games 3 and 4. Could see this being one of those series where the home team wins every game.

If Jack Hughes and/or Hamilton played I'd give Devils a chance. Hard to win without both.

Got the team back into the playoffs. Been a much more defensively responsible team then previous years.

So can't complain
Super underrated defensive coach, hopefully he has learned from the past. His biggest flaw in the playoffs was always overthinking and doubting himself. He would try to change things too much and overthink and just end up digging a hole for himself.

He will have limited options with NJ this playoffs. As noted, they are missing some key guys.
