I know people on here never learn, but I'll just remind you all that back in 2021 there were a lot of confident, cocky posters in a similar thread who said the Habs had no chance against the Leafs. Then, the next round that they had no chance against the Jets. Then, that the Knights would annihilate them (yet they played pretty evenly).
My point is that anything can happen in the playoffs. Logically, a favored team should win, but a good lesson to learn is to never underestimate any team that makes it to the playoffs. Show some respect to all teams.
With that said, despite the Caps kind of slowing down in the past few weeks, I think they should win this. If Montreal beat them, it'd be like if the very young Leafs beat Washington all the way back in 2017.
As a Habs fan, I'm just enjoying the ride. This team has so much more promise for the future than any other roster I've seen in the past 30 years.
