As a Caps Doom Gloomer, I think Montreal is gonna win. Too much mystery surrounding Protas and Thompson's statuses, and they really need those two fellas.

Yes Habs are going in battle tested and hot,
but they're being carried by a few young, star players
as opposed to their veteran depth right now.

The only chance habs have imo, is if Montembeault stands

lastly even with all their cups, habs have a long history
of slaying goliaths. Washington doesn't want to lose a

I think CBJ would have given the Caps a much better run for their money. Habs seem to be backing in to the playoffs and have run out of fuel.

Plus Habs are lowkey boring

Washington took their foot off the gas at the end, but (if Protas is healthy) they can take it to the younger, less experienced Habs. Montreal's time is coming, but I doubt this is their season.

Caps in 6, although things can change if they're injured.
