Went Caps in 5. They've had some time to rest and have more experience. This will be a good building block for the Habs to get a taste of the playoffs.

Well we're here. I voted Habs in 7 because why not?

Caps might say that now they can focus on playoffs since the record was set, but I don't buy it. Whether they can help it or not, there was a huge emotional release when OV broke the record, and its going to be interesting to see how long it takes the caps to get back into top gear.

The Habs on the other hand have been hot, and then have hit a bad slump, just getting over the finish line. I think they're due for the 'good habs' to come out.

Finally, Demidov is the X-factor. He's looked good in two games so far, and he could generate enough secondary scoring that makes the habs a more difficult out in the first round.

Happy we made it, but my expectations are that everything now is just gravy

Habs are gassed. Barely sputtered in. Initially, I thought the Caps sweep, but I think the Habs have enough talent and the Caps are enough of a paper tiger that MTL wins a game. Caps in 5, then they get eliminated in 4 or 5 in round 2.

Honestly it depends whether the series starts Saturday or Sunday.
The Habs depend on Hutson and he hasn't looked his usual sharp. He needs the rest (just like he was a beast after the 4 nations after the 10 days off).
If he play like he can, Habs absolutely have a shot. If not, Caps in 5.

Also Caps better have a game plan for Demidov or they are in for a surprise.

You don’t think the caps can beat either the canes or devils?
