Lindgren and the caps too, or no?

Nah they had Clay Stevenson, one of their AHL goalies around.

I imagine Montreal didn't want to bring a third goalie as their AHL team is playing for something but still seems like a weird priority. The Marlies are in the playoffs but the Leafs still have one of their goalies traveling with the big club just in case.

I definitely don't see him replicating Price and carrying them to the cup finals.

However.. I think he is very encouraging and will be a top goalie in about two seasons. He's cheap for next season and should be a great 1b. But he will have ups and downs for sure.

I'm an oil fan and would happily start him over our very likable starters - Pickard and skinner.
He’s a battler though, and that’s what you need in this moment.

It is true that he’s been exposed in March but at least he came up huge at the end of the season. Guy wants to win, and that’s enough for me at this stage of this career.

Cole Hutson wearing a Habs shirt last night :D

To be honest, I don't see anything wrong here. He is not playing for Caps. In fact he is even not granted to play single game for caps. But his brother was playing for habs. So, should he root for his brother who is playing right now, or for the organization for which he might (or might not!) play one day?

In fact, if he would be rooting against his brother in this situation, I’d think that something is terribly wrong with him :)

No doubt, when he will be called to caps, he will be proud to wear caps jerseys. But why should one expect him to stay away from habs jerseys now? To extent of my knowledge, he is drafted, not enslaved :)

I agree totally, just having some fun.

Just like the Ovechkin pic with Habs moms lol.

This deserves it’s own thread. I’ve not seen that sort of play a lot, in the sense that the result is borderline catastrophic for the Caps.

I « know » what Strome was trying to do in covering Slaf, who had a solid step on Strome. Thing is, his crosscheck to the neck and punishing hit at full force on LT was like watching a freight train barelling down. You can see this coming from a mile away. Strome didn’t brake and seemed to use LT as his stop mechanism , involuntarily as it may be.

LT toe picks his left leg and the knee seemed to take the damage. What an unfortunate series of event.

laval is waiting for the winner of the Toronto - Cleveland series ,. they won't need a goaltender until next week sometime

I think he wont get any faster/better as he enters his 30s.

Im sure hes realising this, and must be hard to swallow.
Nah. He clearly doesn't give a shit.

Everyone here keeps talking about his knee, and I don't doubt that it is a real issue. But beyond the physical health struggles he might have, Laine is also a headcase. He's had a shitty attitude everywhere he's been in the NHL. He's doing the same shit he has done everywhere.

I was completely onboard with the gamble Hughes took. I thought the price to pay to acquire him was cheap but I was very aware it might not work out. He's lazy. He's barely involved in any play, other than to one-time the puck.

That day before the Blue Jackets game when Laine threw his former team under the bus was the biggest confirmation for me that despite "getting help", this guy still blames everyone else for his problems and is a shitty teammate.
