Why do you think that the location where it happens matters lol

Home ice advantage, you never noticed that ?

Really think all that stuff would have went uncalled with 21k ppl yelling at the ref forever? Yeah nah, no way thats not a penalty in Montreal.

Ref were atrocious.

I don’t understand what you mean? We’re not allowed to evaluate a player unless it suits how you think or feel? Isn’t this hockey forum to discuss players and specifically players that are involved in the series? I never said he won’t improve, I said he’s looked terrible so far and the things that were issues for him previously are still issues now and obviously a few new ones playing in a better league.
In case you haven't noticed, you're free to have an opinion and share it on the board. That also means I'm free to call it out.

I think this was to be expected while one fan base pretended that he’s the second coming. The guy has major flaws, and they’re showing. Hopefully he can show up in anyway in game 3, was hard to spot him in game 1 and 2.
Some posters have major flaws.

Bro, make like your idol Michkov and get to golfing. You've already made your "opinion"/bias clear so go to the Flyers board and spread your sermon there because as hard as you try, Habs fans don't care about your Demidov or Hutson takes.l

If you don’t care why can’t you stop replying? I just gave my opinion on Demidov being completely invisible in the series, you don’t need to read it if it bothers you. Generational posters should be able to navigate a thread as simple as this lol

My brother/sister/humanbeinger. May I suggest a lovely little hill just around the way? Freshly vacated and mostly pure. Only died on twice. I don't think the one you have now is quite the right fit.

In all... half.. a quarter seriousness, though... Why are you so down on Demidov? I'm curious. Aside from the very normal thing about fans being excited for a big name prospect finally coming over.

Also, please don't come for Leonard next.

Leonard is a gamer, love his game, great value for where he was drafted. I’m not down on him, someone asked in this thread what I thought his comparable / peak was so I told it. Not sure what the big deal is here

I wonder what Michkov's stride looks like right now on the farm back in Perm? Is he waiting for the call that he won the Calder Trophy like all generational players of his calibre do? We should see him in the playoffs around the time he hits 30 i assume.

Fair enough. I clicked as many up arrows as I could stand and didn't see that.

TOTAL GASHB+/- after game 2:
Ovechkin +6
Laine +4

GASHB+/- = +1 for a category win or tie (if ≥1) in the categories of Goals, Assists, Shots, Hits, Blocked shots and +/-.

GASHB+/- per 60 after game 2:
Ovechkin +11.5
Laine +10.3

Analysis after game 2:
- Laine improved his GASHB+/- per 60 but mainly due to having same GASHB+/- (+2) in game 2 as in game 1 but with less ice time,
- Ovi fell closer to Laine due to having a pretty average game 2 with only shots and hits as his highlights.
Why was Laine benched for P-3 in game 2?

Lol okay, the refs will listen to the crowd this time - you’ve cracked the code!

I think MSL said that he has 9-10 forwards who he trusted/trusts in that situation. I dont think he mentioned anything about Laine but one can assume that he is not one of those 9-10 guys.
I think it's more likely that he just recognized the game was probably lost, and that Laine is way too valuable to waste his minutes in a situation like that. Better to get him some extra rest before game 3.

Scores have been close but if this keeps up, at some point the floodgates will open unless we see a Jaroslav Halak situation.

There’s not a single person that couldn’t have predicted that, Caps are cup contenders, the Habs are just here. Caps are a much tougher team then people give them credit for because only Ovechkin is a real big household name, they have a shit ton of depth, tough team. If their goalie stays hot, they have a good a shot as anyone to win a cup.

I praised that signing believe it or not, I thought he’d bounce back and play well, thought he’d play with Suzuki but I guess he’s just completely cooked.

...while his knee injury and injury history are a reason he's slowed significantly, he's also one of the laziest, most unengaged players I've ever seen in almost 50 years of watching hockey...now relies almost soley on his natural shooting talent...he's pretty much at Late Stage Dany Heatley territory...
