SOLI'S SHORTSIDE
  • Kinda guessing at the lines and pairings, going with what they did last game but adding Benning back in for Klefbom.
  • Klefbom had a minor procedure on his shoulder to investigate. Incoming 9-months on the shelf. With him out, I am hoping we see the 1st unit PP with Ethan Bear. The PP is flawed without a right handed option on the blueline opposite McDavid/Drai.
  • The Wild played yesterday in Vancouver, besting the Canucks 5-2.

Would be nice to see Slepy and Pulju in top 6 roles as well as Bear on the top unit PP. But alas we are the Oilers.

Islands in the stream.
I think we should waive Lucic to the Red Bull Crashed Ice competition in town. I'd like to see that anyway. Better than seeing him on the PP and first line.

ps I don't think he'd make the first turn or jump either but it would be fun regardless seeing him sliding down on his ass.

McD always lights up the teams I don't expect. In this case, he has 1 point in 1 game against the Wild this year and had none last season in three contests.

Based on that, four-point night incoming and he gets right back into the scoring race.

Happy with the late start as the MN State High School Championship is on at 6.

He'd end up in Red Deer!!

Its like Mclellan has no long term or short term memory. Lucic seemed to play his best when he was centered by Nuge/Drai so lets throw him out there with Mcdavid hindering your top threat when all 3 centers are healthy. Realistically he should be on the 3rd line at best and yet Mclellan continues to be an idiot day after day.
