I love this kid, he is a little waterbug out there on the ice giving it his all every shift. One of my philosophies when I focus on a lot for young players is their two-way game and see where they are at compared to others, and as a 1998 born player, he plays a 200-foot game. I don't think he is best defensive forward on the Thunderbirds, but good enough to make his game noticeable for scouts.
Besides this, he is only 5'8" and 183 lbs, but that is a very strong 183 pounds. He plays MUCH bigger than what his stat line says and is able to throw some big hits at times. I don't think he is as talented as Brendan Gallagher, but he has that same type of "fearlessness" which Brendan had in the WHL. He goes to the areas which are dirty and full of punishment to get a scoring chance (something you like to see for a player this small height wise). He is also a very good skater who normally has the ability to beat slower bigger defensemen along the outside.
Hard to say where his offensive talent is at currently or where he should be ranked for the upcoming draft, but definitely could potentially be a darkhorse player from the dub for 2016.
