Anyone have more of an opinion on him?

Rangers take a big forward like this every year.
Tall. Lanky. Still growing into his frame. He doesn’t play a heavy game but towards the end of last year you could see him trying to up the physicality. He’s decent in the corners and along the boards but he doesn’t do it with strength. Decent hands and an ok shot but you won’t confuse him with Trevor Zegras or Ovechkin. Skating seems half-decent but I’m not the best analyst of that and it’s a bit more difficult for me to judge just because of how he’s built. Same with his speed. His first step isn’t explosive and he LOOKS slow because of his lanky stride but he covers ice pretty quick in transition and back checking. He’s ok defensively but the effort is there and I expect that to improve in his 18 and 19yo seasons. He’s pretty good at distributing the puck. Flint wasn’t loaded with playmakers last year but after the deadline I’d say Aspinall was one of if not their best passer. Solid vision. I’d expect him to be in the O for the next two years and then another couple in the AHL before moving on to the show if he gets there. I think he can, but if he does it won’t be a quick development curve. He made big strides last year. If he replicates that same improvement this year I’d say things are looking pretty good.

2+2 tonight. Has 5+6=11 points in 11 games to start the season. Not bad for a mammoth forward in his 18 year old year of junior that was drafted at the end of the fifth round.
