Was in Midget Espoir last year, the league under Midget AAA but was one of the better players there, very cerebral player with size. Has improved his skating, looks like he has a nice year so far. His progression has been incredible since Bantam where he was a pure passer with limited physical tools and wasn't standing out.

Thanks from this info.

In his last 6 games in the MPHL. Mathieu has scored 6 goals, 4 assists, 10 points.
= 16 games, 20 goals, 9 assists, 29 points in the MPHL
= season totals: 41 games, 45 goals, 36 assists, 81 points (2.00 ppg).

2.27 PPG as 16-17 yo in USHS-Prep - is it any good? I mean, Spitserov, who was picked by Sharks (in the 7th round, but still), had 1.90 PPG.

It's extremely difficult to come to any conclusion with USHS prep stats as the level of competition is all over the place.

we will learn much more with his season in the BCJHL this year.
