Could mean a deep playoff run.

Could mean locker room squabbles and a complete breakdown.

Either way, it will be a fun year to be a Chief lol.

Lethbridge looks like they are just starting over. When (if) Ashton goes back, I wonder if they will move him too.

Kyle Beach: The Guy Nobody Likes.

Why exactly is that again?

I know the guy has a bit of a rep as a person and gets no love from Hockey Canada, but he's on his way to setting career highs (on pace for about 40 goals and 75 points) with that physical package?

You'd have to think he's a player. Haven't once seen him brought up on this board over the last year without someone singling him out.

He kept getting suspended by his team a few years ago and nobody knew why. It scared some people off in his draft year. I recall people saying that he was a top 5 talent otherwise.

That's what I recall hearing on tsn.

I heard he farts on the bus. Just a rumor, but it would explain things.

Has some of the most amazing talent and skills I've seen in years here at the Spoke.

With that being said he's the laziest guy with the most potential I've ever seen. Its absolutely disgusting.

He used to play for the Silvertips, and I'm a season ticket holder.

I couldn't be more happy to see him go. He was an absolute cancer. We got Alex Theriau and possibly Seth Jones out of that trade.

Want to elaborate on that?

I'm not personally invested in this by any means, just a curiousity I've had for a while now. Have only heard he had a reputation, nothing overly specific.

He should be dominating the WHL at his age and isn't. Look at Eberle's point totals compared to his.

To be fair, Eberle is playing out of this world. You could list dozens of prospects that aren't touching the sort of production Eberle is having this year.

Started a food fight at Hawks camp i think. Also has done other stupid things to get himself suspended. Heck of a talent though. Seems to have his head on straight this year.

That's because the Chiefs play defense

In all seriousness, when Beach came to Spokane from Lethbridge, Bill Peters gave his input to the Chiefs brass. Peters is the coach in Rockford, and if Beach were such a problem, why would he come with recommendation from the head coach?

From the player himself, he loves to "yap" and run his mouth - which puts him in the situations he finds himself in. As Chiefs fans, we loved to hate him whenever he played here, and he seemed to feed off of the boos every single chance he got.

Now that he is a member of our team, what impresses me most about him is the litle things he does all over the ice. He is strong in all three zones, physical, and his scoring touch cannot be questioned.

He does make lazy plays and take stupid penalties; but those are things that can be fixed. You cannot teach hockey sense, and he oozes that talent every time he's on the ice. Put him on a line with Toews, Kane, Versteeg, Hossa, or any of the other Chicago talent and watch him blossom.

Akim Aliu was the one who started the food fight.

Beach, Aliu, and some other prospects were having a debate about which league was better(WHL vs OHL I believe). I think Beach and co. said WHL. Aliu got pissed off and threw some Teriyaki sauce on Beach, so Beach retaliated. Ended up getting the boot off Rockford.
