LW Kevin Fiala (2014, 11th, NSH)

I like this kid play against Canada so far.. where is he projected to go next draft?

Really intriguing prospect. Great hands, like the way he sifts through defenses. Works hard too.

Very impressed with his play vs Canada today. Very skilled player, I hope he's on the Canucks radar. Could see him as a late 1st rounder.

Also Fuchs looked quite good as well, could be a nice late round pick up.

As for now, I ranked him in the mid 2nd. He is really quick with good hands, some grit. But size is the issue. He is really small so that's the only reason he felt off the 1st round.

There are rumours that he isn't a great teamplayer and has a bad attitude. That's why he was not on the roster of the Swiss U-18 team at the WC last year.

I had watched him a bit before the tournament but he has impressed me. I think the mental bit (clash with teammates) isn't a big part of him and he is that good of a player that I'd pick him late 1st or at latest early-mid 2nd. His hands and speed are amazing, and since he's so small he can get by most players.

He's a human cannon ball. Small, but heavy.
Really good skater, split-vision, nose for the net, stick handling, puck covering and passing.

If he continues to play like the first games - wow. Might even make the horrible team he plays on a playoff contender.

He's playing with Eric Christensen and a TWF prospect named Ted Brithén. Fiala is about twice as good as Christensen. While the former NHL'er Christensen might look fancy, Fiala is brutally effective - using his skills to create chances and compete.

Grim man.

Yeah, 195 lbs at 5'10'' at 17 is pretty ridiculous if the guy doesn't have much fat. Don't think his size will be an issue.

4 points in todays game and it's not finished yet. 1 goal 3 assist.
