Martel is a small (5'8", 166) but fiesty winger, who is breaking out in his 3rd AHL season. After scoring 20 goals in each of his first two AHL seasons despite getting limited PP time, he currently leads the AHL in scoring with 14 goals and 5 assists for 19 points in 14 games so far in 17-18.

Ive seen this kid irl quite a few times. Havent seen him play real hockey but oh man , this kid is one of the best canadian if not the best hockey ball player.. i have no doubt this kid will one day score 20 in the nhl. His compete level is A1.

Well since they claimed him from waivers they must have been pretty sure about giving him a chance with a big team. They can't send him down without giving him back to the Flyers.
