LW Brooklyn Kalmikov - Cape Breton, QMJHL (2019 Draft)

Looking for more info on this prospect. I see he had a pretty good U17 season, setting the franchise record for most goals with Cape Breton for a 16 year old.

Excited to see how Kalmikov performs this season after posting some good numbers last year. He apparently looked great at Cape Breton’s training camp last month and could be poised for a big campaign.

Oct. 2/18 Screaming Eagles 5 Wildcats 2 – QMJHL

3rd goal was a bullet one timer.

I'd expect 35+ goals this season and a bit over PPG. Kalmikov isn't playing on the first line so he isn't getting as much ice time as some other prospects but that's just because the Eagles first line is very talented.

He's lurking low on my list right now but I really like what I'm seeing. Rocket of a shot.

I got to watch him last night. Never heard of him before, was extremely impressed. First thing i noticed about him was how feisty he was. Wasnt afraid to get physical. Then i started noticing how stealthy he was offensively. Not sure if his 3rd goal last night was a one timer or wrister, but it was a rocket. Was fast even during the slow motion replay.

Both he and Francis have slowed down considerably, quite disappointing.

There is some hope though, Dumont (coach) gives most of the minutes to the top 18/19, 20 year old forwards (Laferriere, Balmas, Sokolov). Next year he'll be expected to have a much larger role.
