Injury riddled season followed up by mediocre play so maybe next year for him. I still think he should've been picked this year.

Exactly as above poster says, teams are finicky when a guy is injured in his draft year. Stupid that he wasn't grabbed with a 7th round pick IMO. This guy along with Tkachev were 2 of my favourite prospects pencilled at the top of my list for Russian guys; both go undrafted. Nekolenko has high end star level skills, this year he will show them. Unfortunately he wont get a sniff of KHL action in SKA's system. I think he will be back with a vengeance.
