Would like a statement win tonight, I know the division title doesn't matter (although that's always hard for me to get my head around as a European football/soccer fan) but we could easily slip to 3rd with Tampa breathing down our necks and the leafs winning pretty consistently... Would much rather we go for the easier first round matchup, esp as the wildcard battle is likely to go to the very end.

Being from the UK, I also hold the Presidents trophy and division title in higher regard than most. Maybe I'm just greedy.

Me too on both counts. I do find it crazy how little people here care about winning the division, conference or even the league.

Presidents Trophy is nice and looks good in the rafters, but then getting swept in the 2nd round takes away from the accomplishment. Had we gone to the finals that year maybe it’s looked back on in a positive way but the way the playoffs ended left such a sour taste that we traded a 115 point scorer lol
