With how close the 8th playoff spot is for both the East and West, I hope the teams competing for those spots make ALOT of trades tomorrow.

Well, on capwages.com, there are the number of trades of the last 4 years.

So the total trades for each years (a compilation of the last 4 days before deadline):

2021-22 43 trades
2022-23 45 trades
2023-24 45 trades
2024-25* 11 trades

*ongoing

It could be a quiet year.

Feels like there have been more moves than usual leading up to the deadline (although it appears I may be wrong there lol). Whether that makes for a quieter deadline day remains to be seen but this forum is already jammed with transactions from today and we already basically know a few more consequential deals are coming down the pike.

Seems like a really packed deadline and trade market for once. Maybe it just “feels” that way but things seem active to me.

Go ahead and lookup how many trades were on the last day last year

I think it's a combo of lots of teams in contention for 3 of the 4 wild card spots, and a somewhat shallow UFA pool this summer.

But with a rising cap and a lotta injuries, I think we could see an usually high amount of players with term traded
