Not sure if this is okay or not, but I have an over 40 ice hockey team that is looking for some new talent. I just got rid of some dead weight and I need some new blood.

It's apart of Midnight Hockey and we play in rinks on Long Island, from Dix Hills to Great Neck. It's a D/E level league, so no superstars! It's also an over 40 league, but I can get exceptions for guys close or near that age.

If anyone is interested, PM me. Season starts in late May, and is only 8 games, so roughly $260 for the season.

Thanks!

Holy crap, 260 bucks for 8 games

New York prices I guess.

I play in 2 leagues at the moment...

265 for 12 games of Rec Hockey

and the other is about 400 bucks for 20 games of hockey with double elimination playoffs (our team is always a playoff team).

Atlanta has a pretty big hockey community believe it or not.

It's around there, just a guess. It might be closer to $240. We just finished up a 15 game season that was $430. I'm bad at pro-rating. Fall season is 12 games.

It is pretty ridiculously expensive up here. It's why I've unfortunately been sticking to inline. Pay 170 for 10 games plus playoffs. Finals are best of 3. And I'm looking to join another league that is 130. Not sure how many games per season though. Assuming 10+playoffs.

I played roller at Skate Safe for years. Ice is so far a superior game. Roller hockey is filled with punks, too. I did love playing it, don't get me wrong. But once I switched over to ice, I'll never go back.

if you can make an exception for 36 years old id be interested

They do make a couple of exceptions per team, so PM me for sure if you are interested.

You're definitely right about that. It's a much more fun and faster game. I used to play ice in high school. I miss it a lot. Just don't want to pay out the butt to play.

I hear you. Winter season was 15 games and was $430. But they let you pay over a few games so it's not to bad.

Oh, and Ice Hockey at Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex is $120/10 game season + playoffs.

dayum thats cheap as hell.

we're roughly 20 bucks a game here. there's been a few rinks built since ive started playing here, and theres another under construction (Sandy Springs) and a second that's in the planning phase (Kennesaw).

More rinks will likely bring the pricing down, or at least make the current rinks under more pressure to bring the quality of ice up. The difference between the different rinks are HUGE. At the Marietta Ice Center, the neutral zone is shorter than the other rinks, and the ice doesnt completely freeze in the summer. We call it lake Marietta. It's awful. The Ice Complex however is phenomenal, ice is always pristine, the locker rooms are huge and always clean. just a tremendous rink.

it's also the furthest drive for me :P
