Also keep in mind Dave Rook is back again this year as being the goalie coach and he still has 4 full months to get the most out of these goalies and get them to a good calibre.

Reminder: He helped our goalies backstop us to 2 Memorial Cups in 2005 and 2016.

Sounds good! He’s a good luck charm!

Difference here is Adam Dennis had the Knights number … thorn in side …. can’t remember the last time Parson beat the Knights ….
You might want to give my post another read. I never said the Knights should go after him. 2004/05 was an example. There might be another team in this type of scenario....again not the knights as I even said in my post other teams.

No.
And Londons goalies are fine
Agreed they at the very least deserve the chance to prove themselves. It’s still early and if it goes south a replacement can be traded for. I don’t think we will need to BUT if needed. I know this, if London doesn’t put at least 1 MC Trophy in the case from the past 3 years it has to be considered a missed opportunity. Mark will take care of business I’m confident in saying!

Wonder how long his point streak is in the OHL, or even beer league for that matter? 🧐
I will say this I was a bit surprised when Halt dropped that puck back. I didn’t think the points streak was on the mind of the team so much? But it was clear what he was trying to do! 2-1 in a tight game where the goalie had stoned them all night …. hmm? It all worked out perfectly in the end though.

Alright dude, whether I agree or disagree with Fastpace on things, it’s a public forum for a a reason. Keep the convos about Knights.

You guys can be better than acting like it’s high school in this forum. You @Buttsy annd the rest of you are better than that. I expect better from you

Moving on to Knights convos..
So sorry to disappoint you …. However will I sleep?

Fair enough, totally get what you are saying. But I wasn’t surprised. They are a tight knit team and everyone on the roster knows the streak is going on, they all want to do their part to keep it going for Cowan. Stuff like that builds team strength, I think it’s good for them. They love their teammate and want to help him succeed.

Last year when the streak was happening, you saw stuff like that happen to help keep it going, but come playoff time the focused on winning and I think that’s where the difference comes in. There’s a time to focus on it and a time to not, the time to have fun and focus on it, is now.

Do you think Medvedev almost solidified getting drafted with last nights performance?

Not on last nights performance as there was few key scoring opportunities, but you take the season as a whole so far and I can see why he was so highly touted. On top of the great athleticism and positional play, he has proven he is coachable. His rebound control at the start of the season needed improvement and he has come a long way in a short time. Next would be the confidence playing the puck, but he really hasn’t had a bad game.

Maybe you get Parsons to beat whoever is at the other end in the Mem Cup final. A better goalie is still a better goalie.

Not saying London will be shopping for him, but I'd wager the Knights have an eye out on ways they can improve in goal.
I agree that London will be open to any upgrade to their team at a price deemed affordable by the Hunters. Maybe that’s goaltending if injury or inconsistency occurs. But so far so good.

Ultimately you build a team to win playoff series. With the current format of the Memorial Cup, it is a crapshoot determining a winner. You can have the best team there and it only takes one game for the championship to slip away. See 2024 Knights, 2022 Bulldogs, 2017 Otters, and even way back to the 1988 Spitfires. To me the current format determines a tournament champion, which is still a great accomplishment, but not indicative of a CHL champion. Sorry for the tangent.

I'm not convinced that Medvedev and Elliott will be your final tandem. It's been fine especially with Medvedev taking the next step but I think Mark will look at opening up that OA spot for another needed option if the opportunity exists. you may see a non-OA goalie come in. A possibility at least.

Don't give this guy any attention. A self proclaimed know it all who has an unhealthy obsession with the Gens. Anyone who isn't a General is the world's worst player. Its sad
That’s Jamie for you!

Also, Jackson Edward has played just 7/15 games for Providence. Not sure what’s going on in the Bruins org anymore.

I think the tandem is set. I don’t foresee the knights making a move there. If there is a place to tinker it’s the D. It’s a strong D core, but add 1 vet and it really solidifies it

As I can't see his post, I must have him on my Ignore list. Wonderful feature, highly recommend more people use it to tune out annoying posters.

I have seen an improvement in handling the puck one of his weaknesses. I am sure they have been working on that.

If it meant adding a veteran D without costing a boatload of picks? See ya Landon!
That may seem harsh, but he has shown he can't control himself on the ice, despite what he adds to the team. Reminds me of Danny Bois that way.
Never thought I would say this but because of what you said, I kinda miss Max McCue. He let his play and thunderous checks do the talking. Like most of his checks were clean and that’s what got players off their game too. Wasn’t afraid to drop the mitts and be a leader to get the team going.

Honestly, Sim has the same impact Ryder Boulton has and that’s not saying much. He needs to shift his focus into scoring and be that guy like McCue was and go in and forecheck and stop running your mouth.
