Funny how similar they are the more you look at them side by side.
To me, Minnesota's logo is too clever by half. It's an amazing design as a piece of art, but as a logo it's kind of a mess. It's one of those logos that kind of has to be 'deciphered' which works well for fan service, but doesn't really do much for emotional resonance. On a jersey it's just a blob. The colors are unique, which is good, but also quite dull, which is bad. Overall it feels like a comic book artist was asked to make a logo for a camping gear company. It does not say "hockey team" in any way whatsoever.
Which means this should be a layup for its opponent, but the Preds logo doesn't really compete very hard either. At least Minnesota managed to make "Wild" into a visual, which is challenging. "Predators" should have been easy to make a great logo out of, but this one just... isn't. It's got that late-90s corporate feel, like the Hurricanes logo. Somehow it's aggressive and boring at the same time.
So I'm going to hold my nose and vote for the Wild here, for no other reason than that it's the more creative of the two.
