Speaking of Jim Hill, I found it interesting how more often than not it was Jim Hill who would open up questions during conferences. I guess with the Lakers eliminated early on CBS had to keep him busy.

You all would be very surprised to hear for yourselves just how much Jim Hill knows about hockey. He's no slouch, that's for sure. I once thought as you do, but first-hand experience indicates otherwise.

If you run into him, engage him in a conversation. If he's not about to go on the air, or trying to get back to KCBS, you might be surprised at how personable he is.

I didn't respect him at all, in terms of his hockey knowledge, when I first met him. But after observing him the last two playoff runs, listening to his questions, and being involved in several conversations with him, he's no expert, but he knows the game pretty well.
