Isnt your ask... pretty much the same thing?

25 in 30 is the fastest to 25 wins

25 in 35 is not the fastest or 2nd fastest (for example)
The fastest would be the fewest games that the team played. If a goalie play 30 games in the year and they win number 26 in April, I don't think that would be the new record.

Just like getting 50 goals in 50 games is about the games the team played, not the player.

So Ullmark has 25 wins in 46 games.

No. Thats not how they count games played by goalies

Also ... if a goalie was injured/didnt play for the 1st half the season. And won 25 in 27 games. That should be considered a new record

All this to lose in the second round
Why dont you worry about your team... making it into the playoffs first =p

Very good for Ullmark, but this sounds a lot like a jinx thread, i.e., he goes out the next game and pops a hamstring and then is out the rest of the season. Better go find a live chicken or something.

It should be considered A new record, just not the record for "fastest to 25 wins in a season". More of a "best mid-season 27 game stretch" type of record.

We sure about the accuracy of this thread title? Does anyone have his time for the 100m dash?

I somehow managed to draft Andersen, Swayman and Ullmark in fantasy

I've been having a good time this season lol. Ullmark is an auto start no matter who he faces, insanely dominant year from him

Fewest games played is more appropriate than fastest.

I'm actually surprised Ken Dryden doesn't have this record.

Goalies like Dryden didn’t get the opportunity to be assured of a win-loss decision every night they played. Games that were tied at the end of regulation didn’t even go into overtime in those days. Ties, even after overtime was implemented, left a lot of wins on the table.

Hence why this current incarnation of the Bruins was able to set a record for most consecutive wins at home to start the season, a streak that would have ended at 2 in past times, since they won in a shootout in their third home game.

Regardless of format, the Bruins have been monstrously dominant this year and it’s always fun to watch a team run wild over the rest of the league.

Hopefully there’s the chance to also muse about their place in history if they pass the 60-62 wins threshold as well.

Two shootout wins.
So not comparable to seasons before the shootout was introduced - unless you back out those 2 wins. I’ll never understand why this facet of these ‘wins’ records isn’t taken into consideration.
