Lines when healthy

Hi Everyone Sens and somewhat a Panthers fan coming in Peace!!

I just firstly wanted to say that I hope you guys to well in the future! I really do! Your system is loaded and I mean loaded! So many high end, high ceiling prospects that in a few years will make you guys formidable and lethal!

And I believe you guys have the right coach and GM!

Anyways I wanted to know if someone could show me your starting lineup when healthy including guys like Bjugstad and Howden, even Petrovic!

Also wanted to know on who you guys think you will draft! I believe you guys take Mackinnon! To me he is way to good to pass on!

well it first depends on if we draft mackinnon or jones, if weiss resigns, and who (if anyone) gets bought out. but with a healthy line, and mackinnon drafted and mueller resigned id say:

Huberdeau-MacKinnon-Mueller
Fleischmann-Matthias-Versteeg
Bergenheim-Goc-Kopecky
Parros-???-Skille

i think bjugstad will start in san antonio, or if goc/matthias get traded then he'd start on the 3rd, with the one who isnt traded on the 2nd.

if we draft jones then i see us resigning weiss and then:

kulikov could be traded for offensive help, or weaver traded, or one of jovo or kuba bought out

Those lines look correct and pretty straightforward to me. I am also hoping for Mac and a part of me is still wanting Weiss to have another shot and I don't mean on a retirement contract. Ideally something short (and I would think heavy) that perhaps we can move at the deadline or next offseason if needed. We'll find out soon enough about Weiss' future but we surely missed his line with Flash & Steeger. Flash, Goc, and Kopy did okay trying to be the scoring line but Goc & Kopy need to be with hopefully a healthy Bergy next season.

I wouldn't want to put too much pressure on a Huby-Mac-Mules line either. I think being a 2nd line would be fine.

And I'd also like to see Bjugstad, Shore, and Howden to start in San Antonio. With Trocheck & Knight, let them all gel with each other and try to have a successful season down there. Besides, given our injury history, they might not need to wait long to see NHL time anyway.

Parros sucks and he should be bought out. He brings nothing useful to this team. Eric Selleck has done more in one game than Parros all season..
We need a guy who can actually play physical and can fight..aka Zac Rinaldo

With my lineup who's being forced? Obviously Mac, Huby, and Markstrom are all NHL ready. If you've seen any games this year you can tell Howden is NHL ready for a bottom 6 role. And Robak has looked good as well.

We did not draft howden to become a bottom 6 player.. let him develop in the ahl with shore. We need the youngings to gain experience playing in the ahl and develop a winning culture.

We do not know if mac can handle the nhl now, he appears to be ready but we do not know..

Matthias + mac on the top lines is horrible.. beyond doubt we would grab another first rounder.

Simply put Tallon has to resign weiss or trade/sign another nhl experienced center

there are too many holes in that lineup, but it would be pretty sweet in a perfect world scenario.
One thing I feel would happen is petrovic making the lineup and replacing strachan.. I would like to resign Strachan to a short term deal as the 8th defenseman, but I think robak should have that opportunity. I forsee our d lines sustaining alot injuries.

I can see tallon signing a good free agent and making a trade or two to make the team competitive next season. I also would like to see matthias grab some more top minutes but not at the cost of our whole lineup. We shall see.

I agree. Tallon is going to do something. Or at least try to fill the void.

I know we didn't draft Howden tO bE a bottom 6 guy but that's where he needs to be next year on the 3rd line. On most nights Howden has been one of our best players. I honestly feel that tallon will try his hardest to resign weiss if not make a trade.


I can see stastny in a cats uniform. Tallon was supposedly targeting a defenseman from the avs a while back, so he has had time to view his style of play. The guy is 26, has similar numbers (not entirely) as weiss. His contract is up in the 2014 - 2015 season, so the worry of having a huge contract on our payroll is nonexistent. If you have ever seen the avs play they are a freakin EXTREME hustle team, and stastny plays it to the t.

The only thing is he is being overpaid by a a 1.5 mil or so, but at this point without weiss i would rather pay that extra to get him here. Lets face the music, we need to overpay players to sign here.

I would rather make a trade for Stastny then overpaying flippula or bozak to a mega money 4-5 year contract. Weiss is going to bank on this contract with similar expectations. We drafted really..really well over the years. With stastnys contract we have about a year or so to figure out who is ready for the big callup, if not resign his ass and let him play. He is practically a rental next year. If he doesnt fit, TRADE HIM!

It sucks that Weiss's contract is up. Another year or so would have been perfect.

If we can move Upshall and Parros, Tallon does. Kuba too but I don't think anyone will take them unless we swap for an equivalent type bad contract player.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Mueller's rights traded. I like him but I'm not sure he's what we need. I wouldn't be surprised either to see a package of Shore and Mueller for a legit top 6 center. Although I'm a big fan of Shore but you have to give to get.

I would LOVE if Tallon could move Versteeg, but I don't think that's happening either, not with his knee injury. Couldn't imagine anyone being interested.

I don't think Skille gets signed.

Ok sure he might have better numbers going back down to the AHL with less skilled defenseman but once he comes back up boom it's going tO be back to reality with real NHL defenseman. Finishing is something he needs to work on WHILE HE'S IN THE NHL.
