If the Preds didn’t make any offseason moves I believe this would be the lines next season if everyone who is under contract was healthy:

Forsberg O’Reilly Stamkos

Bunting Svechkov Marchessault

L’Heureux Sissons Evangelista

Smith McCarron Schaefer

Wiesblatt

Josi Barron

Skjei Wilsby

Stastney Blankenburg

Oesterle

Who stays? Who goes? Do we sell more and rebuild more or do we continue to try to make this team good and do we add a top pair rd?

Who knows what he is going to do but I'd bet my last dollar he signs some old wore out Vet like Tavares or throws some ungodly amount of money at a guy like Marner whose biggest concern is the money, not the team, not winnning, but straight up money.

Didn't Trotz say in one of these interviews that Smith, Sissons, and McCarron are gone next year as far as he is concerned?

If I was any of those 3 guys, I'd be thinking about Askaroving it this off-season. I mean, who wants to work in an environment where the boss is telling you "you're a goner, man" every day when you clock in. Total cr4p culture.

I’m going to guess Marchand because we’re allergic to signing centers. He’s also been underpaid most of his career so will be looking for a nice retirement contract which we’re big fans of.

At least Marner has several more really good seasons left in him at his age. I'm not saying it would make sense to sign him, and it obviously doesn't address the center issue, but wouldn't be the worst move Trotz has made.

Also saying he doesn't care about winning seems like pure conjecture

If we are accepting that we are not going to compete right from the get go(which is assumed based on saying we are gonna sell Sissons, et al) then Kemmell needs to be here and Molendyk needs to get a chance to earn a spot right out of camp which he has apparently almost done each of the last two years.
