Can they resign him for 8 years? I thought he had to be with the team for a certain amount of time

The infamous Vlasic contract kicked in when he was 31. Lindholm is just 28. There's definitely risk there but at least Boston will be getting more prime years. Vlasic's contract was almost entirely a loyalty contract and questionable from the moment the ink dried

Will be very risky if it’s 7+ mil, solid enough if he’s at least a #3 for 3 or 4 years. Doesn’t really matter beyond the top forwards years

Mistake. Way too long for a player who is almost out of his prime.

Ya those last couple years could be rough, especially if the injuries he has had in the past couple years continue.

Has there been any more info about the Bruins sending a prospect of the resign him?
Likely front-loaded, so it will be attractive for cap floor teams 2028 onward.

Makes you really wonder why Anaheim didn’t get Lysell in this deal. Verbeek had to know this dude was going to sign tonight or tomorrow. A signed Lindholm basically for chump change

This makes all the picks traded worth it, but depends on the AVV. 7 mill is not awful.
7M AAV for Lindholm is absolutely horrendous, he's not the same player he once was. Not sure why people think some of these Ducks players are the same guys who played big roles in their contending years in the mid 2010's.
