Proposal: Let's pit the eye test vs. the fancy stats in 2015

I understand that it's only one playoff year, but I want to see how the stats add up. I can not directly organize this, but I want to get the proverbial ball rolling.

I want the Excel sheeters and the number haters to think hard and present their position for the playoff predictions.

I want to see who will win by game, and who will win by round etc.

I hope the Rangers come out on top, but don't just analyze with your heart. Let's see what the state of hockey is by keeping a tally and other records of the success of the positions.

Anyway, just an idea that I hope we can expand.

The eye test says we can't get out of the freakin zone. It couldn't be any more apparent last night, or against Winnipeg, or against LA.

The numbers are just there to back it up for people who refuse to see what's right in front of them.
